Stop, Collaborate, and Listen: Global RemixPresenter: Christine Hodges (Lincoln)
@Christineah88 http://vidadetercergrado.blogspot.com.ar/ Location: HS Aula Magna These days, global education isn’t code for world history and extended social studies units. Learn how to strengthen instruction by integrating globally-collaborative projects into your classroom in an organic manner, no matter the subject or grade-level you teach. In a world with disintegrating borders, it’s time us educators step up to the plate to promote worldwide purpose, passion, and connection. Living in the CloudPresenter: Juan McCormick (Lincoln)
@Chikitixz Location: HS Computer Lab Moving from the Hard Drive to the Cloud / Moviendo desde el disco a la Nube. Cloud Benefits/ Beneficios de la Nube. Living in the cloud/ Viviendo en la Nube. STEM / Robotics / SpheroPresenter: Leandro Segura and Cristian Blanco
Location: HS MakerSpace This hands-on workshop will explore how you can use Sphero Robots to assist your STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) curriculum. IMPORTANT NOTE: Participants must bring a tablet or smartphone and have downloaded the Sphero App. How Space Structures LearningPresenter: Joe Koss
@joekoss www.joekoss.me Location: HS Library An educational space can be thought as the place, movement, and arrangement of the teaching and learning. Part of space is the physical architecture of the learning environment—the spatial arrangements of the teaching and learning. The space choices of the learning environment (physical architecture) very deliberately structure the knowledge and communication architecture of the teaching and learning. We can think of the communication architecture as the framing of the interactions and relations with the members of the environment (teacher to student and student to student). The knowledge architecture is the relationship the environment has to learning itself, how knowledge is transmitted and comes through in space and structure (again, teacher to student and student to student). This workshop hopes to look at how 3 separate conceptions of space impacts learning by creating 3 “vignettes”—short sketches—to see how students interact and learn within these 3 separate spaces. |
