"The Logic of Learning" by Joe Koss@joekoss
Joe Koss is currently teaching 7th grade World Geography; IB Theory of Knowledge; and a new course he is attempting to create called Design, Technology, and Media. In the past year he helped redesign the new school addition by attempting to be an architect by drawing flex spaces with markers and white-out on the official plans before the board could sign off on them — it was somehow successful. He also created a MakerSpace with a bunch of 10th grade misfits in the school library - less successful, we were disbanded after one year. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin—Madison, completing undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Political Science, and where he returned, after 3 years as a barstool philosopher, to get his teaching credentials. He recently completed his Masters of Education in Learning Design and Leadership from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He is a proud Wisconsinite and likes to consider himself a DIY designer in his space time - which more or less means he has a pile of junk and pallets in his front patio. |
